I had a blast attending the Theatre Under the Stars 42nd Street Preview Event on Tuesday night with my friend Lina. We had the opportunity to meet the cast before the show as well as other bloggers/youtubers and actors. I had so much fun chatting with other like minded creatives. We enjoyed a complementary local wine tasting and some popcorn before heading to our seats to enjoy the show.

Theatre Under the Stars is always one of my favourite summer events. The location in itself is stunning. Nestled under a canopy of green in Vancouver’s premier forest, Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park is a hard spot to beat.

The only downside of this beautiful spot is the costly parking. I would recommend carpooling or taking public transit here.

The weather our evening was perfect. I had been a bit worried because Deep Cove was pretty socked in that morning, but as we headed over the Lions Gate Bridge that evening, we were greeted with bright blue skies.

The show was very fun and the cast was exceedingly talented. Compared to other musicals I have seen I did find the storyline a little slow, but the wonderful dancing, vibrant singing and flashy costumes definitely made it a night to remember.

Theatre Under The Stars is a staple of Vancouver summers. It is the perfect for a girl’s night out, family fun, or even a date. I would highly recommend adding it to your bucket list this summer.

Cinderella is also currently being preformed by Theatre Under The Stars. Shows for both Cinderella and 42nd Street will be running from July 11- August 18th. Tickets cost $30-49 and more information on how to purchase them can be found here.

Stay tuned to my Instagram page as I will be announcing an exciting contest soon!
